Ancientland

Throughout Magic Kingdom style parks, the 'Adventureland' segment is usually divided up into different exotic locations around the world. One minute you could be in the jungles of Africa, the next being serenaded in a Polynesian room, followed by a pillaging plunder in the Caribbean. Ancientland will adopt those various locations within one unified land, yet adopt them instead to Ancient Mediterranean cultures. Ancient Egypt, Greece, and Rome being the main inspirations.

As guests walk into the Ancient Egypt section, they can explore the Library of Alexandria, the world's first research center and university campus, or climb to the top of the 55 foot Lighthouse of Alexandria on the harbor. Transition across the sea to Ancient Greek philosophers debating one another in plazas, or Homer's epic poems brought to life in 'Pirates of the Caribbean' inspired water based attraction surrounding the tale of Odysseus. Or travel to Ancient Rome and envelope yourself in a Chariot race in the Colosseum.

All of the historical themes in Ancientland connect with one another. The themes of human ingenuity, critical thinking, and the discoveries thousands of years ago that pushed us head on into the future.

Walk-Through one of history's most famous libraries and learn about Alexander The Great, pupil of Aristotle, and his quest to preserve knowledge and wisdom in the world's first research center. Explore the volumes of texts and journals recovered over the ages. Guests have several options to make their experience here unique and unforgettable. First, they can take a 1.5 hour guided tour, similar to the former Magic of Disney Animation tour in Disney's Hollywood Studios, where you pass through a separate section of the library and witness an animatronic Alexander the Great, in a 'Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln' style attraction, where he explains his scholarly pursuits. Guests can also meander through themselves, sit outside in the debate plaza, or enjoy cuisine at the dining hall.

Inspired by the oldest works of Western Literature attributed to Homer in the 8th Century B.C. (The Illiad and The Odyssey) you will embark on a voyage through the epic poems as you sail the seas with Odysseus. 15 - Convivium Hall ホール

The Roman version of a 'Symposium' - Latin 'Convivium' - is less of a drinking party and more of a 'dinner party'. Dine in this Ancient Roman dinner hall and feast on some of the food from ages ago. Being a quick-service option, no reservations needed.

16 - Banquet of Scholars 奨学生の宴会

The most popular item being an Egyptian version of the anime mascot for the park, Chishiki, whose merchandise sales are estimated to rival Duffy in Tokyo Disney Resort due to her exposure in the parks. Egyptians also hold cats in a regal light, so Chishiki's themed merchandise blends in naturally with the edutainment of Ancient Egypt.
