Adventureland Park
20, 000 Leagues Under The Sea
(Adventureland Dark Ride - Opening 1976 as an E-Ticket, later goes to a D-Ticket)
Exterior
Found in the moat near the Adventureland park icon lies a fleet of summaries led by Captain Nemo. Guests enter using a set of stairs to load into the Nautilus, similar to it's Disneyland Cousin (Elevators to the Pre-show are used for Wheelchair). Guests make their way down into the back of submarine, bending to miss the low-level raised rear hatch, and finding a place on board in standing room. Instead of the attraction, the submarine is a constant pre-show, leading to the dark ride.
Throughout there-show, an eerie organ version of the Disney film's main theme would play on a never-ending loop, allowing for a narration backing as well as a piece of stall music if required. Following the standard Disney-style introduction and safety notes from the helmsman, the narration of Captain Nemo begins.

Preshow
Script
Captain Nemo: Stand by to dive!
Mr. Baxter: Diving stations. (Bosun's whistle sounds)
Captain Nemo: Dive! Dive! (Diving claxon sounds)
Mr. Baxter: Trim bow on diving planes. Three degrees down. (A stream of bubbles from the Hydrolators indicates diving has commenced)
Captain Nemo: Take her to ten fathoms.
Mr. Baxter: Aye, aye, sir.
Captain Nemo: Steady as she goes.
(Captain Nemo now addresses the passengers)
Captain Nemo: This is Captain Nemo speaking. Welcome aboard the Nautilus. To accommodate all passengers, we will be giving you your own submarine pods, ready to be submerged into the sea once boarded. We are proceeding on a course that will take us on a voyage through the depths of liquid space seldom seen by man - We will be traveling 20,000 leagues under the sea.
(A door opens in the Natilus, leading to the boading station of the Submarine Pods, similar to Tokyo DisneySea’s vehicles, with a track similar to Peter Pan’s Flight.)
Captain Nemo: Stand by to board!
Mr. Baxter: Boarding positions. (Bosun's whistle sounds)
Captain Nemo: Dive! Dive! (Diving claxon sounds)
(Once the subs are boarded, a diving effect similar to Journey into the Little Mermaid is given with screens, projections, and fog.)
Captain Nemo: We are now en route; we will pass beneath the Polar Ice Caps and then probe depths seldom seen by man. So make yourselves comfortable, but please, remain seated in the pods at all times.
(Fog clears to the first few scenes, where Sea Turtles, eels, and many different types of fish are swimming in the water using projections and animatronics)
Captain Nemo: Here among the reefs, you will see many familiar inhabitants of the undersea world. The great green sea turtles for instance, are the reptilian patriarchs of the deep. These amphibious descendants of the dinosaur have changed little in the past 200 million years. Groupers, or giant sea bass, roam the coastal bottom in search of food. The giant clam obviously is quite safe from such marine predators.
(A giant clam is seen opening and closing.)
Captain Nemo : The fish world has always been considered a silent habitat, but through our sonar hydro phones, we've discovered that fish actually talk! Listen.
(The sounds of fish "talking" fills the sub. Several moray eels can be seen poking their heads through the coral formations)
Mr. Baxter: Undersea party ahead, sir. Divers to port and starboard.
Captain Nemo: Witness the crew from one of our satellite ships. They are harvesting their abundance that nature has sown here beneath the sea. Kelp beds are cultivated. Sea creatures corralled and protected from predators. Just as terrestrial shepherds protect their flocks from ravenous wolves.
(We see a diver tethering a sea turtle to keep it from escaping)
Mr. Baxter: Surface storm ahead, sir.
Captain Nemo: Weather alert! All controls, eight degrees down. (Diving bells ring) Hold her at 80 fathoms and proceed on course.
(A new stream of bubbles erupt to indicate we have dived deeper. The next scene appears and it is now becomes dark as the "surface" light no longer penetrates our field of vision. )
Captain Nemo: The Nautilus can dive safely below the violence of ocean storms. Surface vessels are not so fortunate.
(The crumbling wreckage of mostly 18th and 19th century sailing ships now come into view, some pirate skeletons and ships are taken from the Pirates of the Carribean attraction nearby to flow the story of the park)
Captain Nemo: Witness the evidence of their fate. The graveyard of lost ships. For ages, these rotting holds have kept their secret treasures, safeguarded by silent sentinels of the deep. Man-eating sharks. Nature's most unpredictable predators of the sea.
(Various Sharks glide by our field of vision)
Mr. Baxter: We've reached the Polar Ice Cap, sir. There's a clear channel at 40 fathoms.
Captain Nemo: Steady as she goes.
(We see the submerged lower sections of icebergs. Sonar pinging emits. We see the aurora borealis above us.)
Captain Nemo: In this region of the Polar Ice Cap, you are witnessing a rare visual phenomenon.
Mr. Baxter: Ice wall breaking, sir.
Captain Nemo: Take her deep! (diving bell rings) And keep an eye on the depth gauge.
Mr. Baxter: Aye, aye, sir.
Captain Nemo: We have past beneath the North Pole, and are now descending into that region in deeper water where the sun has never penetrated. Here, in this realm of eternal darkness, nature has provided her creatures with their own....eerie luminescence.
(Several deep sea fish, one with jaws open, can be seen. The alert bell rings)
Mr. Baxter: Warning light, sir. We've reached maximum depth limit.
Captain Nemo: Take her back up to 80 fathoms!
Mr. Baxter: Eight-zero fathoms, aye, aye.
Captain Nemo: There are limits beyond which man and his puny efforts cannot survive. We have almost exceeded those limits.
Mr. Baxter: Unusual formations to port and starboard, sir.
(Elaborately carved classical structures come into view. The remains of a Greco style city. There are temples and the collapsed remains of giant statues, their faces staring upward. Mermaids swim throughout the city.)
Captain Nemo: Ah, these crumbling heaps of stone betray the hand of man. I believe we've made a startling discovery! These...classic ruins could very well be the legendary lost continent of Atlantis. Some scholars theorize that a remarkable civilization was destroyed by a tremendous volcano. Others treat any concept of Atlantis as pure fantasy, along with legends of sea serpents and mermaids.
Mr. Baxter: Begging your pardon, sir. But, did you say sea serpents are mere fantasies?
Captain Nemo: Belay there mate! Anyone in his right mind knows there's no such thing as a sea serpent or mermaids. Mr. Baxter, if you think you're seeing mermaids and sea monsters, you've been submerged too long!
(We pass the sight of a giant sea serpent amidst the ruins of Atlantis. There is no comment from Captain Nemo on this.)
Mr. Baxter: Captain Nemo, sir! We're experiencing unusual turbulence. It's a ruddy underwater volcano, sir!
(The scene outside grows more violent and darkens to a reddish glow. Numerous columns are teetering as a result of the turbulence)
Captain Nemo: By Neptune's flippers! This confirms it. That seething mountain still denies rest to the civilization it submerged thousands of generations ago. Helmsman! Steer clear of the tottering columns.
Helmsman: Aye, aye, sir.
Captain Nemo: Red alert!
Mr. Baxter: Red alert! (Bosun's whistle blows) All hands to stations.
Captain Nemo: Trim the tanks! Steady as she goes.
Crewman: Captain! Giant squid dead ahead. It's disabled a submarine, sir.
Captain Nemo: Good Lord! It's one of ours. It's hull has been crushed like an eggshell.
(The tentacles of a giant squid have ensnared a sister submarine pod from the Nautilus.)
Crewman: Another monster's attacking forward, sir!
Captain Nemo: Full repellent charge!
Mr. Baxter: Repellent charge, aye, aye. Maximum voltage.
(Lights flash around us to indicate the use of the electrical charge against the giant squid)
Captain Nemo: All ahead!
Mr. Baxter: All ahead, aye. She won't answer the helm!
Captain Nemo: Emergency maneuver! All engines, stand by to surface! Surface!
Mr. Baxter: Surface! Surface! Surface! (A stream of bubbles indicates the surfacing procedure and then when they clear away the "surface" light is streaming through once again) We've reached Vulcania, sir.
Captain Nemo: Proceed on course. All ahead.
Mr. Baxter: All ahead, aye, aye.
Captain Nemo: Station the maneuvering watch.

Mr. Baxter: Aye, aye, sir. All hands to stations.
Captain Nemo: Ladies and gentlemen, in just a few moments we will be docking at Vulcania, our home port. It has been a pleasure having you aboard the Nautilus, on this memorable voyage that has taken us 20,000 leagues under the sea. Captain to bridge. Reduce speed and proceed to number four berth. Stand by to dock.
Mr. Baxter: Bridge, aye, aye. All ahead one-third. Stand by for boarding.
Captain Nemo: Thank you for sailing with us 200,000 Leagues Under the Sea. And now, when the cabin lights come on and a crewmember unlocks your submarine pod, stand by to disembark. Gather your belongings, take small children by the hand, and watch your step.

Nightmare Manor
Backstory
During the early late 19 century a young man named Charles Morgan was one of the first British explores to go deep into the jungle on a small boat. After exploring African rivers he explored the jungles of South America and Asia. He made riches by taking tourists on the rivers. He then returned to Africa and formed the jungle navigation company. It took tourists on top notch cruises on some of the most famous rivers in the world.
Now filthy rich he decided to make a mansion right next to his company's headquarters. Once the mansion was complete he started a family and had one daughter named Abigail. Now ready to get married her father disproves but is still willing to host the wedding in the mansion. Now everyone in the jungle is invited to the wedding.

Entrance and Queue
A massive metal gate marks the entrance of Nightmare. Manor. On the side of the gate is a Haunted Mansion type sign for the ride while a other sign on top of the gate reads Morgan Manor.
The queue winds around a graveyard of dead jungle navigation company skippers. In true Jungle Cruise fashion they all die in puny ways. Leaving the graveyard the queue winds into the family garden. The queue also gives a look at the wedding as it is all set up and ready. The queue goes up towards the manor and stops in a small holding area.
Pre Shows
The main doors to the manor open and the holding area is welcomed inside quickly.

“Ah there you are. You're late the wedding is over and the reception has started.”

“Now it is my job to give you a tour of the Morgan Manor. We don't want you getting lost do we.”
“Proceed into the next chamber and our tour will begin.”
Portrait Gallery
“Here in this gallery is Where master Morgan hangs the portraits of his greatest achievements.”
“There's his favorite, Abigail his greatest achievement and a newly wed.”
A window opens and blows the candles lighting the room out.
“Sorry we’ll have the lights on in a moment.”
Looking up we can see a bride hanged dead above us. The light come back on and the doors on the opposite side of the room open.
Indoor queue/boarding area
We proceed into a large open hallway that gets tighter as we reach the end but still very open. We turn a corner and see a foyer with the infamous doom buggies passing through the center.
“I see you've boarded our doom buggies. They were created by an inventor that Morgan took on a cruise in Asia. They are named after the temple they explored.”
“Do not pull down on the safety bar. It will come down on it's own.”
The Bar lowers and the ride starts.
Scene 1
“The grand stair case. 999 people have fallen into the abyss below the stair case you don't want to be the thousandth do you.”
The grand stair case lite with black lights is surrounded by darkness except for another stair case with doom buggies on it.
Scene 2
“This endless hallway leads us closer to the ballroom. Luckily we don't have to go very far.”
At the end of the hall a ghostly bride holds a candelabra a disappears every couple of seconds.

Scene 3
The grand ballroom comes into view the doom buggies take a turn and go around a balcony over the ballroom on the opposite side of the way we came in is our exit.
“Sorry but our tour must end here I most join the party.”
On the ball room floor the groom is searching for his lost bride while Charles Morgan sits at the end of the table laughing and drinking wine. Many others are dancing to music being played by an organ.
Coming to the opposite side of the room that the long dead bride stands in the window staring down.
Scene 4
The ballroom scene ends and the doom buggies head down a creepy hallway of the manor. The purple paint peeling from the walls. The doors start to look more sinister some even getting banged on. A over look over the grave yard through a window shows the bride staring at the us. Turning back forwards the doom buggies head up the other stair case.
Scene 5
At the top of the second set of stairs is a room dedicated to the dark magic of the jungle. The room has a green glow to it and in the center a native woman in a rugged dress a long dark hair starts saying strange words. Around her are child size dolls helpings here in her ceremony some bang on drum others bow in sinc with the drums beat and another group chants strange words. All of the dolls have glowing bright green eyes.
Scene 6
Doom buggies enter the attic filled with artifacts crates and expired advertising. Wedding photos of Abigail and other grooms show that this isn't the first time she's been married. Doom buggies turn to reveal a bone old man wearing a top hat a holding a box. Inside the box is the mans head and whenever it appears in the box it disappears of his shoulders.
The Doom buggies start to turn before we see the bride standing in it’s path. Going backwards they tilt back and the doom buggy falls into the abyss below the stair case.( This is not the same room as before instead it's made to look the same.)
Scene 7
After falling into the abyss the surrounding area looks like a jungle swamp. Around the doom buggies skeletons and tons of ghosts party by singing dancing and playing exotic instruments. All to the tune of Grim Grinning Ghost the classic haunted mansion song. There is also a native war chant going on around the biggest tree in the abyss the natives are all ghosts too. After this exciting scene the doom buggies find their way back to the mansion.
Scene 8
The doom buggies return into the mansion through the green house. Not only are there a lot of exotic plants and some very big fly traps trying the eat the doom buggies. In the reflection of the glass there are ghosts sitting in each doom buggy and are going to follow us home.
Scene 9
The doom buggies pass the ball room once more but this time it is empty except the groom who is standing there smirking. Keen eyed riders could notice he doesn't have a ring on his finger and that specks of red blood appear on his once white shirt.
Scene 10
The doom buggies return to the portrait gallery and floating in the air in the center is the angry demonic bride attacking the buggies. ( This bride is going to be using the state of the art audio animatronic. It would be more fluid then Lincoln and the Pirates and the most advanced animatronic on Disney property when the ride opens in 1976.)

Scene 11
The last scene is the most complex. Groups of 3 buggies are locked into a rotating room and watch as the bride grabs her new husband and pulls him into the under world. Scene is achieved through screens and the peppers ghost effect.
Scene 12
“There you are I hope nothing terrible happened to you and I hope you enjoyed the party.”
Our guide rejoins us as the doom buggies pass a grand portrait of Charles standing with his wife and newborn child. A small child stands next to the portrait.
“Come back, come back just remember to bring your death certificate.”
Exit
“Now exit the doom buggies and watch your step on the moving carpet.”
The exit is a lot like the boarding area but smaller and no queue space. The exit takes guests do a hall way and to a gift shop.
Gift Shop
The ride directly exits into Manor Memorabilia. The shop sells all sorts of Nightmare Manor merchandise. The shop is themed to look like a garden shed or workshop.

Pirates Of The Caribbean Sea
After much demand the Walt Disney Company has announced that a improved upon version of Pirates Of The Caribbean will open up with Walt Disney Worlds Adventure-land park. The new version will be the most innovative attraction yet featuring log flume sized drops and a ride that goes both out and in its ginormous show building.
Map
Orange is the queue/dark blue is ride path/light blue is ground floor or water/yellow is 2nd floor/red is the 3rd floor/purple is 4th story/green is exit and gift shop/ brown is ship wreck/ grey is skull rock
The ride is located at Caribbean Cove an area of adventure land park. Guest will enter through a Spanish fortress that goes around the entire land. On the inside is a small town and a dock. A Spanish warship is currently dock for defense against pirates. The entrance for Pirates Of The Caribbean Sea is located in a tower of the fortress.
Queue
The queue has guest weave under a tarp for a few minutes before entering the fort. The first room we enter contains a spiral staircase to lower and higher levels but we move on into the weapon locker the walls are covered in muskets and swords. We go up a small ramp into the canteen. The main feature is a giant barrel full of rum. A small hole is making some drop onto the floor. Also in the room is a drinking fountain hide next to a smaller barrel. The line leads into a hall way with slots for muskets to be shot from and a canon every few feet. A slow ramp resent is the transition from the colorful area to the dungeon underneath.
We pass many cells with nothing left but bones. Two skeletons die playing chess till reaching a stand still. Another has a bird and it's nest on it’s hat. Taking another turn we enter the torture chamber. On both sides on the line are skeletons in different torture devices. Afterwards guest are rerouted to one of 2 lines and proceed to the nearby loading area. The boats load like they did in the original Magic Kingdom with two boats being loaded on each side.
“Ahoy me matey’s please keep your hands and legs inside the boat so ye don't lose any of those precious limbs. Remain seated at all times we don't stop for those who fall over the side. Lastly be prepared to get wet!”
Are boat is rolled out of the boarding area and dropped down into the water. A quick turn reveals the first lift hill. At the top of the hill is the classic skull and crossbones.
“So yea be seeken adventure with salt old pirates”says the skull,”then you be warned danger lies ahead and it's to late to alter course.”
We exit the fort to a great view over Adventureland. We proceed on the forts walls into another area of the fortress. We pass under a metal gate and enter the prison. Pirates fill the sells and try to bribe a dog guarding them to give the key. We pass a smaller sell with a big pirate sleeping in the corner of his sell is a parrot.
“Yo ho yo ho a parrot’s life for me.” Skawk “Dead men tell no tales, dead men tell no tales.” Whsssh “Incoming ship incoming ship, brace for impact.”
Our boat drops as a canon ball takes out the floor below us. And we plunge right I the middle of a fierce battle between the town and the pirates. A pirate captain with a red coat insults his crew and his opponents. Canon balls hit the water getting us all wet. In the distance we can see the Spanish ship coming to aid in the defense. Getting closer to the town we see a pirate boarding party struggling to paddle their way to land. Two nervous soldiers defend the main gate. But they are terrible shots so they keep missing the oncoming pirates.
Up ahead the towns mayor is getting mercilessly dunked into the well by a group of pirates including the pirate captain from before.
“Where is the map to the hidden treasure?”
Don’t tell them Carlos, don't be chicken.”
Says a women from above before she gets shot at by a pirate. On the other side of the canal an auction is going on for the women of the town. An auctioneer stands before the crowd of pirates.
“Do you sell her by the pound haha” says the crowd, “We want the redhead we want the redhead.”
“Spin around deary show em your other side.” Says the auctioneer.
The boat goes under a bridge and we can see the parrot from before holding two women both dressed like pirates. The houses of the town are getting ran sacked by pirates.
A few other pirates sit on barrels drinking rum another has an entire barrel up to his mouth while he chugs it.
Two drunk pirates sit in a dingy drinks more and laughing at each other. A drunk fat and tired pirate sits on the ground looking at a map behind him a scared soldier pops his head out and looks at the map. The last thing to see in this room is a drunk pirate talking to a cat.
After going under another bridge we see the pirates burning the town and singing. Yo ho yo ho a pirates life for me. The scene is filled with pirates just like the Disneyland version. Including the pig pirate, the hat pirate and the filthy foot pirate.
We return to the fort for one more scene and see pirates shooting cannons at each other before an explosion goes off and we drop out of the building into a ship wreck.
This is where the ride starts to really become its own take on the classic. Overlooking the shipwreck is a giant skull rock. Inside the last surviving bit of the ship is a skeletal captain on a bed looking at a bed and holding a key a few pirates and the parrot attempt to take the map and key without touching the long dead captain. It's also important to note that the scene is light by the time of day it is do to being only partially inside.
The boat turns towards a cave at the base of skull rock and enters the mountain thru it. Inside we proceed up a large lift hill with the words dead men tell no tales echoes through the cavern. Around halfway up the lift hill a hole in the rock gives us a view of a skeleton steering a wrecked ship in a storm.
The boat reaches the top and enters a cavern filled with water falls. A skeleton reaches for a place to hold on above him. Another sits in a in water fall. The boat heads straight under a water fall into a different cavern.
Inside is a room full of gold and jewels on top of it all is a pirate skeleton around the room the living pirate crew, parrot and captain grab all of it. One even tries to make snow angel in the gold.
The boat turns away and exits the cavern. It is now in the skull the words dead men tell no tales get louder and louder until we plunge down a 75 foot drop into a bay by the previous ship wreck.
The ride ends after the boat goes under a bridge and back into the fort right before loading there is one last scene. The parrot sits on a treasure chest and sings the song from earlier.
“Yo ho yo ho a parrot’s life for me.”
The boat is now brought up a shall incline on to the belt. As we see the skull and crossbones one last time.
“I see yeh made it back now make no mistakes now matey's and wait till the boat reaches a stop to disembark.”
The ride exits out into a large gift shop called tesoro bahìa. Merchandise include shirts, towels and action figures for the main pirates. It also includes a small fruit stand out side the shop.
