When Mary Poppins was released in 1964 it received 13 Oscar nominations and won 5; including best Original Music Score by the Sherman Brothers. The film was also so profitable for Disney that he used the film's profit to purchase land for Florida and the Disney World Project. Therefore, it seems fitting for our final Fantasyland phase and as a coronation to the 60th anniversary of the film on August 27, 2024 - Mary Poppins will have her proper home on Cherry Tree Lane in the heart of the Magic Kingdom.​
